Frequently Asked Questions & Policies


We do not accept drop-in visitors or do unscheduled tours of the Bed and Breakfast.  If you would like to visit the Bed and Breakfast please call 740-701-2778 to schedule a visit and we can give you our undivided attention.


Check-in time is between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Check-in after 8:00 pm is possible with prior arrangement. If your travel is delayed, please call to let us know your estimated arrival time. The early check-in option must be purchased when the reservation is made. Early check-in allows guests to check in as early as 3:00 pm, but no earlier.  



Check-out time is 11:00 am. Late check-out may be possible as late as noon upon request. You are welcome to spend additional time in the common areas and grounds of the Bed and Breakfast after check-out is complete, until noon. Please inform Inn Keeper if that is your intention. 



We have free private parking to accommodate our guests. Parking is outside the side door or in front on the street. Please do not park in the driveway across the alley.                                                                                                                                                                                                


Rates are for single or double occupancy. All rates include our hot home-cooked elegant breakfast. We offer a treat in the evening. While we try to keep our website up to date, all listed rates are subject to change without notice. Rates are subject to applicable taxes and a nominal credit card convenience charge.                                                                                                                                     


The maximum occupancy for each suite is posted on the website. This occupancy cannot be exceeded. The number of guests must be specified when booking each suite. 



Guests must be 21 years of age or older to make a reservation. 



We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash. Reservations are charged in full 72 hours in advance or upon arrival for late reservations. Checks will not be accepted. 



Reservations cancelled 72 hours or less in advance as well as no-shows will result in a full reservation charge. The 50% nightly deposit is non-refundable even if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours in advance. The deposit amount may be applied to any available dates up to 12 months from the reservation date. Certain packages and promotions may have different policies that apply. Gift certificate recipients are subject to the same cancellation polices.  



An elegant, home-cooked breakfast is included in the rate.  Breakfast is served between  8 am and 9:30 am daily.  The Inn Keeper will inquire about your preferred time the evening prior.



Please make us aware of any dietary restrictions or food allergies prior to your stay. We will do our best to accommodate any restrictions, but we do not have an allergy-free kitchen.  



The Bed and Breakfast is set up as a getaway destination for adults.  We do not allow children under the age of fifteen. They    will be expected to act as an adult. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.



Common areas of the Bed and Breakfast and grounds of the property are solely for the use by booked guests who are staying at the Bed and Breakfast. Many guests who stay with us are here to visit friends and family or attend a local event. We require our guests to clear it with us before inviting other people who are not guests to the Bed and Breakfast. 



We are a non-smoking facility, including vaping. We do not allow candles. We ask that all guests smoke or vape outdoors.  If you need an ashtray we will be happy to provide one. Any smoking or vaping inside the Bed and Breakfast will result in an immediate request to leave and an additional cleaning fee of $175, plus your room charges. 



We feel that maintaining high standards of cleanliness is of the utmost importance. To maintain this standard and provide a quality experience, we ask that all guests refrain from eating outside food in the guest suites. We request that you ALWAYS use the provided coasters for beverages to protect our antique furniture. We do not allow any use of our kitchen, nor do we allow guests to prepare and cook food in  suites. You are welcome to store leftovers from dinner and medications in the refrigerator in the kitchen. Guests must ask in advance of their stay if they have any special requests for kitchen usage or food preparation in the house. 



We do not permit guests to bring pets to ensure an allergy free environment for our guests.  Sorry for any inconvenience.



We do not provide or sell any alcoholic beverages due to local township regulations.
